Simple Summer Fun

This summer we have simplified a little and done more family activities. Sure, we still have Lucy in Dance and Jack and Lucy taking tennis lessons, but since school is over, we have spent the majority of each day doing things together. We love playing games, coloring, going swimming, and swinging out back. I love these activities because we can all participate. Alice LOVES the swing and Jack has just learned to pump!
You may be wondering how an eight-month-old can play games or color. Well, we do these things with a pile cheerios on hand.

Here are some random pictures:
Here is a sneak peek of our living room! We are awaiting the arrival of our new sofa, but pretty much everything else is in order!

This is a hutch that we got second-hand for pretty cheap. It was a darker wood color.
I painted it white and it turned into this. We just need to put knobs on.

Jack is obsessed with Iron Man. Thanks to Poppi and Mimi, he had an Iron Man glove that makes noises and shoots missiles.

Alice is growing up so fast! She can now eat a whole Popsicle.

(Tomatoes from our garden...the only things from our garden :)

I've been working with Lucy every morning and she can now read several books by herself.

Alice has two teeth!

Lucy can read some of the cards for a game we play
