Turkey Day Festivities

For Thanksgiving, we took a week off and headed to Utah to visit family.  We stayed with Leland's Grandma and Grandpa in Pleasant Grove a couple of nights and then stayed the rest of the time with my brother and his family in their brand new house (which was rather exciting for us--especially Leland as it was equipped with an indoor sport court and he played many basketball games).
Lucy, Jack, Alice, and Dexter couldn't get enough of their cousins.  Everyone was so nice and accommodating.
Leland and I realized how much we miss the wide open space and "greenness' of Utah.  It was rejuvenating to be able to spend a week back in our old haunt.  Leland were able to play a little one on one basketball (which I won) and go on a date to see the new James Bond movie, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Jack played in the Lego Room for a few hours every day.

We went to the zoo with my sister and brother-in-law, Annelise and Lucas, and their kids Olivia, Caroline, and Elliot.  Alice pretty much freaked out at each enclosure.  We figure she will either become a vet or an animal hoarder.
I didn't get many pictures of the whole bunch, but here's one of our brood on a tiger statue.

Cousin Eliza, age 1, became Dexter's special friend.  This is her feeding Dexter pieces of her pizza.

Dexter loved being with Grandma and Grandpa Faux (as did the rest of us).  He especially loved being around Max, Aunt Becky's cute dog.  I didn't have any good pictures of Alice chasing Max, but she sure did that A LOT!

Leland and Lucy told stories on the way home using the microphone app on the iphone.  We stopped at Cove Fort and took the tour.  The old pioneer furniture was amazing! Jack and Lucy now thing we should build a house with a courtyard inside.
Our trip was very refreshing and we enjoyed spending time with family we don't see often enough.
