The Temple in N Zed and the Kiwi house

I actually forgot that we did some really cool things on the way to New Plymouth. We went to the temple on our way out of Hamilton and then we stopped at the Kiwi House to see some Kiwi birds.

Jack checking out one of the psycho action poses of the Kiwi birds. In this particular one, a cat is strangling the kiwi bird. They also featured an owl tearing a kiwi bird apart, a ferret eating a kiwi bird egg, and two other such violent scenes.

Lucy and Jack exploring the forest around the Temple. One of my favorite things about New Zealand is the combination of trees and plants. They have pine trees, deciduous trees, and tropical trees and plants all bunched up together--it's beautiful!
