Family Bike Ride

Leland and I have been trying to spend quality time with the kids outdoors while the good weather is (somewhat) plentiful and the homework nil. After dinner today, we decided to take our bikes and ride around. Lucy and Jack took turns with the baby seat (pictured) and Lucy's small bike, and Leland and I took turns riding Leland's bike and helping Lucy with her bike. It was really fun. Jack had never ridden in the bike seat before. I know Jack isn't wearing a helmet but that is because Leland wouldn't let me put a purple, flowered one on his head. Oh well. Both kids loved riding in the bike seat, but it was fun to see Jack's excitement at riding in it for the first time. Lucy is getting better at using the pedals on her "big-kid" bike.
