Our house was hot (finally) so we decided to try our luck camping...
...In my dad's backyard!
Lucy had politely asked if she could fall asleep on the way over. So, she was basically out the entire evening.
Jack couldn't have been more hyper. He loved being in a tent and playing with a flashlight.
We spent the evening listening to Leland's "scary" stories and watching shadow plays on the wall. Lucy woke up around eleven at night and joined in the fun.

How fun. Megan has been asking us for years to take her camping. She was in Utah last year when we went. Maybe this year...even if it is just in the backyard.
Backyard campouts are my FAVORITE - that a living room campouts. I can't think of a better way to camp.
What happened to Jack's nose???
