A few of our Learning Time activities...

We learned that chameleons are lizards that can change colors to match their environment. After learning a few facts, we colored some to hide "in plain sight" for Leland and Jack to find.

Who doesn't love messes? We learned about volcanoes and then made our own. Lucy was so excited by it, we kept it for three days and used an entire bottle of vinegar and a whole box of baking soda. Jack thought it was a miracle.

(We even saved it to show Grandpa Green when he came over for dinner a couple of nights later)

"S" is for spider! After learning about spiders at the Bean Museum (I touched a giant taranchula's bum...it made me scream but I did it) we decided to make our own spiders with eight legs and eight eyes. I also printed off some papers from one of my favorite sites and had Lucy practice writing the letter S.

Lucy loves cutting out and gluing so we went over the Little Miss Muphet nursery rhyme coloring sheet and then cut out pieces of construction paper to glue onto our spider.
